Dr. Elizabeth Canoni PT, MS, DPT

Dr. Elizabeth Canoni PT, MS, DPT is the founder of CORE Physical Therapy. She received her Bachelor's in physical therapy from Northeastern University, Boston in 1997. Dr. Canoni continued her training receiving her advanced Master's with an orthopedic focus from Northeastern University in 1998 and her Doctorate from Rocky Mountain University, Utah in 2004. She has over 10 years experience building an integrative practice that helps her patients to reach their therapy goals. Dr. Canoni has extensive knowledge and experience in manual treatment with a focus on joint mobilization, manual stretching, trigger point therapy and myofascial release. Dr. Canoni's goal is to provide compassionate, one-on-one treatment to create an individualized treatment program for each patient. She believes in treating the whole person and is comprehensive in her evaluation of your problem. She has advanced training in the treatment of the spine and pelvic floor and specializes in treatment of the shoulder, neck, back, hips, feet and pelvis including treatment for dyspareunia/pelvic pain and incontinence. Dr. Canoni has been a member of the American Physical Therapy Association since 1996 and is a member of the orthopedic and women's health sections. She is also a member of the International Pelvic Pain Society and the National Arthritis Foundation. When Dr. Canoni is not in the office treating patients, she enjoys cooking, swimming, cross country skiing and spending time with her family and friends.

Dr Althea Stanislausis PT, MS, DPT

Dr. Stanislausis earned her BS in exercise science from University of Western Ontario and her MS in physical therapy from D'Youville College in Buffalo, New York. In addition to her expertise in orthopedics, Dr. Stanislausis has experience in working with patients in the acute care, home care, and outpatient rehabilitation settings. This allows her to integrate her broad range of skills to provide the best possible care to her patients. Upon her arrival to Massachusetts, she earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Boston University. Dr. Stanislausis is currently an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). In addition to a manual therapy approach to treatment, she has has advanced training in soft tissue techniques. She prescribes individual exercise programs that combine stretching and strengthening and focus on treatment that gets to the CORE of the problem using her advanced manual skill. Dr. Stanislausis lives with her husband in Malden.

Aaron Canoni PTA

Aaron Canoni PTA is a co-founder of C.O.R.E. Physical Therapy. Aaron specializes in manual therapy including soft tissue mobilization, peripheral joint mobilization techniques, and manual stretches to restore joint and muscle mobility and decrease pain after injury. He uses innovative treatments such as kinesiotaping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) and active release techniques (ART) to restore his patients back to pain-free and function. Aaron individualizes personalized exercise programs for each patient using evidenced based exercise prescription. He uses swimming, biking or running to return athletes to prior or improved function. Aaron is a USA Triathalon member. He enjoys competing in triathlons including the local Timberman Ironman 70.3 in Gilford, NH. Aaron graduated with honors from Baystate College in Boston in May 2013. He was the recipient of the Leadership Award from Baystate. He is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, National Arthritis Foundation and National Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Association.

Jolita Jonenaite PTA

Jolita is a graduate of North Shore Community College of 2005. Since her graduation, she has developed an expertise that includes general orthopedics, manual/hands on therapy and individualized exercise prescription. Jolita enjoys helping people reach their goals of pain-free return to function. She was born and raised in Lithuania and is fluent in English, Russian and Lithuanian. Jolita moved to the US in 1998. When she is not treating in our clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and twin girls.
